Janice Haywood is the lead professor for several Preschool and Children’s Certification programs. The certification consists of six courses (30 class hours each) completed over a three-year period. Some are offered through accredited divinity schools and some are not.
The purpose of the certification is to help ministers/leaders improve the quality of their ministry with preschool and/or grade-school children and to explore ideas and resources from educators as well as experienced preschool and children’s ministers. Courses are taught in both a weekly format (NC only) and a concentrated format in two weekends.
Application and acceptance are required for all certification programs.
